COVID-19 Precautionary Safe Distancing Measures for Visitors following End of Circuit Breaker on 1 June 2020

Dear family members, we thank you for your understanding and cooperation to-date with regard to our visit policies during the Circuit Breaker (CB) period. As we approach the end of CB on 1 June 2020, we understand that you would want to visit your family members.

Social activities with a high risk of transmission will continue to remain closed, even after the end of the CB period. For your safety as well as our inmates, we regret to inform you that the temporary suspension of visits will continue for at least the next four weeks starting from 2 June 2020. Any measures that are eased or lifted in the prisons, will need to be done gradually and cautiously given that prisons is a closed and high density environment where viruses can be transmitted easily and quickly, if we are not careful.

You can continue to keep in touch with them through phone call privileges. We have reviewed our phone call privileges and have extended the duration of each phone call from 10 to 15 minutes. Should you wish to make a booking for the June 2020 phone call, our booking calendar is open from 1 to 30 June 2020. Please visit our online portal at to make your booking. Alternatively, you can call our visit booking hotlines at 65467169/70/71/72 during operating hours. For details and updates on Visit Matters, please visit

We will keep you and your family member updated if we have more information on when it is safe to resume visits in prisons.

We seek your understanding and thank you for your cooperation in keeping prisons safe for our inmates and staff.
