Phase III (Heightened Alert) Visit Arrangement

To protect the health and safety of inmates, we will have to continue the precautionary measure of suspending all face-to-face and tele-visits until 30 June 2021. We will monitor the COVID-19 situation and resume the visit sessions as soon as it is safe to do so. You may keep in touch with your loved ones through electronic letters or a phone call. Please visit to make your phone call booking if you have received notification to do so.

The Singapore Prison Service Website will be undergoing scheduled maintenance on 18 June 2021, from 2200hrs to 2300hrs. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Phase III (Heightened Alert) Visit Arrangement


As part of SPS’s precautionary measures during Phase III (Heightened Alert), Face-to-Face and tele-visits will continue to be suspended until further notice. Visits will be replaced with phone calls.

From 14 June 2021 to 30 June 2021, all category of inmates will be given one phone call entitlement.

Booking Period  

From 12 June 2021, you may book phone calls for the period from 14 June 2021 to 30 June 2021.

All inmates (including remanded persons) can receive one phone call booking from 14 June 2021 to 30 June 2021.

Who can make the phone call booking? 

Only the Main Card Holder (MCH) or approved visitor authorised by the MCH to make the visit booking


Number of bookings allowed

 Only one phone booking is allowed at a time.

Who can receive the phone call?


Only Approved and Registered Visitors can receive the phone call. If you are not a registered or approved visitor, you may wish to inform the inmate via letter to put up a visit request, subject to approval.

Other important notes: 

As part of SPS’ measures to ensure the safety and well-being of our inmates, phone call for inmates undergoing 21 days’ cohort segregation will only be facilitated after the inmate is assessed to be suitable to join the mainstream inmate population. 

Phone calls can only be made to local phone numbers.

No recording of phone calls are allowed. 

Calls will be made within 10 mins of the scheduled booking. Please ensure that you are ready for the phone call 10 minutes before the scheduled time. 

Calls will be made from SPS to the registered contact number, and will have no caller ID. 

SPS will contact the MCH if there is any change to the phone booking made due to unforeseen circumstances.
