Asian Prisons Lockdown Challenge 2025
The Asian Prisons Lockdown Challenge 2025 (APLC) is an event hosted by the Singapore Prison Service in September 2025. It is a competition that brings together correctional and security professionals across the region to enhance their capabilities through practical scenarios.
Participants will navigate through specially designed challenges that combine tactical decision-making with physical skills. The programme includes valuable learning sessions featuring industry experts who will share insights on security practices and professional development on topics ranging from security to human performance.

Details of events
a. Sharpshooter Challenge:
Test your marksmanship in this precision-focused live fire event. Participants
can demonstrate their expertise with both pistol and submachine gun, engaging
multiple targets with speed and accuracy.
Success demands on both individual proficiency and seamless teamwork. Teams must coordinate effectively while maintaining exceptional shooting standards to claim the prestigious Sharpshooter title.
b. Team Obstacle Challenge:
Navigate through an intensive obstacle course where success hinges on
seamless teamwork.
Participants must work together to navigate the course as quickly and efficiently as possible, testing their strength, agility, and coordination. Victory belongs to the team that demonstrates the best combination of physical prowess and collaborative strategy to achieve the fastest completion time.
c. Operation Tech-Secure Challenge:
Demonstrate your mastery over the art of surveillance and tactical coordination
in this strategic mission. A designated operator manages advanced monitoring
systems to gather critical intelligence, while team members execute precise
ground operations.
Success depends on clear communications between the surveillance operator and ground team. The operator must effectively relay real-time intelligence about target locations and potential threats, enabling the team to conduct accurate assessments and retrievals.
d. Rescue & Restore Challenge:
Participate in an intense multi-phase operation that tests operational
readiness and tactical decision-making.
Teams navigate through three demanding scenarios that escalate in complexity:

Phase 1: Execute precise pepper spray deployment under controlled conditions

Phase 2: Conduct time-critical hostage extraction from a simulated fire zone

Phase 3: Engage multiple targets efficiently with pump action shotgun

e. The Specialist Challenge:
An exclusive event designed for female participants to demonstrate tactical excellence through a dynamic obstacle course. Participants will navigate challenging elements that test physical prowess, stamina and agility.
This specially curated course offers a unique platform for participants to showcase their capabilities, while building professional connections. Success demands determination, technical skill, and mental fortitude.
f. Expert Insights & Tactical Demonstrations:
Join us in an Immersive Tactical Readiness Experience Hear from seasoned
professionals and our very own experts as they share real-world strategies
for saving lives in hostile environment.
Gain valuable insights into managing inmates’ aggression within the prison walls, including a showcase of the tactical irritants used by SPEAR Force – along with an understanding of their psychological and physical effects.
Officers from the Psychological and Correctional Rehabilitation Division (PCRD) will also take participants through the essentials of readiness, understanding the body’s response to stress develop resilient thinking and promote a sense of well-being.

Successful registered participants will be informed by 30 May 2025. |

How do I register for The Specialist? |
The Specialist challenge is a female-only individual event. The female participant for the event should form part of the team of 5 to 8 pax. |

Where is the APLC 2025 held? |
APLC 2025 is held at Changi Prison Complex (CPC). |

Will there be a briefing before the event? |
Briefing will be conducted for the Team Leaders on the first day of the event, 22 September 2025 |

Will there be photographs taken during the event? |
The committee will provide a link for each team to download the photographs. |

Is there a limit on the number of team members or observers an agency can send? |
A maximum of 8 pax (inclusive of one Team Leader) can register as a 5-person
team with the remainder as reserves.

Are there any meals provided? |
Meals will be provided throughout the event.

||
What are the Personal Protective Equipment provided by the organizing committee? |
The organising committee will provide generic helmets, eye protector,
ear muffler, knee guard, gloves according to the requirement of the competition
event.
