Home Remittance
Inmates can send money home to their family via PayNow, EFT, or in-person visits. Submit a request through your Correctional Unit officer to get started.
Inmates are able to remit money to their family members using PayNow. They can first make a request to send home money through their Correctional Unit officers. The available remittance methods are:
PayNow
Family members receiving money through PayNow should ensure that their PayNow account is registered with their bank using their NRIC number.Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT).
For Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT), family members should register their bank account details through IPRIS (opens in new tab).Collection During a Visit.
This option is available for foreign recipients who are not residents in Singapore.
Where available, PayNow is the most recommended option for faster and more convenient payment.
Once a home remittance request has been approved, allow approximately 10 working days for the payment to be processed.
To avoid delays:
For PayNow, the recipents PayNow account should already be registered with their bank using their NRIC number.
For EFT, the recipient's bank account details should already be registered through IPRIS.
If a PayNow or EFT transaction is unsuccessful, allow approximately 10 working days for an alternative mode of payment to be arranged.

As part of the Singapore Prison Service's digitalisation efforts, payment for home remittance will be going paperless with PayNow as the default mode of payment with effect from 1 October 2022.
