Supervisees released on MAS may be placed on : 

  • Home Supervision (HS) Phase or 

  • Halfway House (HWH) Phase 

Those placed on the HWH phase will be sent to Selarang Halfway House (SHWH). Please contact the Staff on Duty at info_shwh@yri.com.sg to find out how to contact them at SHWH.

Note:

  • Inmates emplaced on the Employment Preparation Scheme or the Halfway House Scheme will not be allowed to leave the designated place of stay except for valid reasons.

  • Inmates are informed of their release dates and next-of-kin may ask them during visit sessions (opens in new tab) or through e-letters (opens in new tab).

  • The estimated time of release is not applicable to remand inmates who are awaiting their release upon bail approval.

  • Foreigners will be released to Immigration and Checkpoint Authority, Repatriation Unit. They will be allowed to contact their family and friends in Singapore, upon their request, if they have important information to relay before their repatriation.
