Civilian Officer Schemes
As a Civilian Officer, you will be deployed to various units and will work alongside uniform officers in various frontline rehabilitation, planning or corporate support roles towards the common goal of keeping Singapore safe and secure through transforming the lives of offenders and their families.
Home Affairs Senior Executive (HASE)
The Home Affairs Senior Executive (HASE) undertake the middle and senior management civilian positions in SPS. You will do meaningful work alongside uniform and specialist colleagues across functional areas such as Strategic Planning, Operations, Technology, Human Resources, Corporate Services and Corporate Communications.
As a HASE officer, you will also be able to undergo regular postings to Ministry of Home Affairs and other Home Team agencies to gain exposure and develop a range of transferable skills and knowledge.

Correctional Rehabilitation Specialist
If you have qualifications and/or experience in psychology, social work or counselling, you may apply for the Correctional Rehabilitation Specialist (CRS) position. As a CRS, your roles include the design, formulation, and delivery of rehabilitation and reintegration programmes for inmates in the prisons or undergoing supervision in the community. Home Team Specialist Scheme (HTSS) – Psychologist
The Home Team Specialist Scheme (Psychologist) develops a core group of specialists with deep expertise in corrections and rehabilitation. As a psychologist in the Singapore Prison Service (SPS), you will apply psychological science to support offender rehabilitation, strengthen staff well-being, and contribute to a safer Singapore.
Working within a multidisciplinary environment, you will partner uniformed officers and specialist colleagues to assess offenders, design and deliver evidence-based interventions, and contribute to policies and programmes that enhance rehabilitation outcomes and reduce reoffending.
Your areas of work may include:
• Conducting psychological, risk and pre-sentencing assessments to inform offender management and rehabilitation planning
• Providing offender profiling and psychological consultation to support case management and operational decision-making
• Developing, delivering and evaluating psychology-based treatment and rehabilitation programmes
• Conducting research and evaluations to strengthen evidence-based policies and practices
• Supporting the mental health, well-being and resilience of SPS staff through psychological expertise and interventions
